Bhausaheb Bandodkar is the founder of the DBB Group of companies. He was born in a simple family and had to leave school prematurely in order to financially support the family. He did a few odd businesses early on before he got the mining lease which was the beginning of his mining business.

Bhau passed away early in 1973 and the businesses were then managed by the next generation of the family.

At present the Group is mainly into providing mining infrastructure and exports.
